SAN FRANCISCO, CA—(Marketwired - May 25, 2017) - Swrve, a leader in mobile marketing engagement, today announced its appointment of former Moxie executive Alf Saggese as general manager, EMEA and APAC. In his new role, Saggese will expand Swrve's influence in overseas markets, particularly in rising countries. Saggese will extend both Swrve's international customer base and its strategic partnerships as part of this new phase of growth. “Mobile has become the default focal point for the modern-day consumer, and critical component of a well-connected marketing strategy,” said Christopher Dean, CEO of Swrve. “In EMEA and APAC, the proliferation of smartphones means that businesses can engage with customers in dynamic, contextual ways at a global scale. Alf's experience working in these markets, coupled with his expertise in understanding consumer behavior, makes him a major asset as we extend the capabilities of the Swrve Platform to broader international audiences.”
Saggese is a pioneer in the computer telephony Integration, customer engagement and eCommerce spaces. He's worked with organizations including Genesys, Kana and IBM Tealeaf, where he created vision, strategy and execution plans for the International Operations. He has been operating in the EMEA and APAC markets for 30 years, and has a deep understanding of the in's and out's of consumer behavior and business practices in those areas.
Saggese's early strategy involves extending Swrve's strong European presence to Germany, Benelux and the Nordics and building a strong new footprint in the Middle East. He intends to focus on verticals including finance, travel, sports, media, entertainment and eCommerce.
“There has never been a marketing channel with as much latent opportunity as mobile,” said Saggese. “The customer experience personalized, contextual and continuously engaging. The Swrve Platform is exciting because it's so sophisticated. Real-time, creative, useful campaigns are a major differentiator for businesses looking to compete on mobile, and there's a big demand for solutions that make them possible in these territories. I'm excited to help bridge that gap.”
