Today’s mobile users are quick to uninstall and move on if they are not getting value from the apps they download. Failing to engage your users not only results in lost acquisition ROI but also closes a crucial channel for conversation.
Push notifications, with their power to reach mobile users at critical moments, give brands the hook to retain users and engage them at impactful moments in the customer journey. All you need is the right user data to fuel and activate highly personalized messaging when it matters the most.
Introducing Triggered Push Notifications
Our new product update offers a game-changing approach to how and when you deliver push notifications to your users.
With scheduled push, you have the option to segment which users receive a push message based on their behavioral and profile data. While this is great, triggered push automates sending notifications to users in direct response to their actions.
Include entry and cancellation criteria to define who gets your campaign and when, and to avoid sending the push if the user already takes the desired action. Personalize your message further by including specific details about the user action.
The best way to see the value of this exciting update is to take a look at some use case examples:
Abandoned Cart Recovery
Use a triggered push campaign to send a notification to users when they leave items in their shopping cart.
Add conditions to create more granular entry criteria, such as limiting the campaign to users who added an item costing more than $50. For an even greater impact, include the name and picture of the cart item in the notification.
Delay sending the message and add cancellation criteria to give customers reasonable time to complete the action independently. For example, send the notification to users after one hour but only if they haven’t completed the purchase in the meantime.
User Profile Change
Notify a user when their profile changes to meet specific criteria or cross a set threshold.
For example, notify users when their remaining DVR space drops below five hours or their latest hotel booking puts them into a new loyalty tier.
Item Availability
Inform users when a particular item or action becomes available to them again. For example, if a bonus refreshes every four hours, inform the player exactly four hours after they last claimed it.
Or if a product they were browsing is low in stock, notify them in real time so they can get their order placed before the item becomes unavailable.
Personalize your campaigns by incorporating details about the user’s action into the message (in addition to any user profile information). For example, insert the name, picture, and price of the item into the notification and configure the deep link to direct the user to the item when they engage.
Welcome New Users
Delight your new users with a perfectly timed welcome message. Tailor your content to match the actions they have taken in the app so far. If all they have done is download the app, send them a push illustrating the steps required to get going. Or if they started completing their profile but abandoned halfway through, deliver an incentive to encourage them to return and finish where they left off.
